In this situation, the snow tire can help you get out of their >way. My Pirelli P7000's SS were terrific in even heavy snow in the NorthEast. However, they are wearing rather quickly and developed a noise problem after 5K miles. They are terrific all around tires but the noise problem would make them a no-go next time around for me. Bob
