No reset, although it is easy to trap air in the system so that the cooling system isn't really full when you think it is. When you run the engine to operating temperature, some of the air is removed and coolant is sucked out of the reservoir to replace it when the engine cools. You then have to replace the coolant in the reservoir. Have you checked to see if the coolant level is really low? Although it is unlikely, it might be a faulty sensor.
