Hi, > never felt torque steer!!! You must have only driven non-turbo Saabs then! > My '90 900 16S turbo, and my two 9k Carlssons had torque steer by the bucket > load. My '98 9k aero is much better, but it is still there. i dunno how you drive, but its kinda obvious that every car would lose traction if you a) have too narrow tires b) got a sucky suspension c) try to accelerate before or during a turn... you should speed up after the turn... you know that right? once i was driving a 3 series bmw of a friend... compared to my kinda sloppy 9000 it was pretty tight, fast and all, but if my saab starts sliding a bit i just let off the gas and return steering wheel to neutral. in the bmw the back just spins like crazy.. kinda the same as the "driving backwards and turning" effect. in my parents aero there is not torque steer, thats just wheelspin when you put too much power on the wheels. also see my previous post bout what happened to me on the highway, i guess iĄd have crashed with a rwd vehicle. even my wide, heavy, slow 9000 handles better in winter than some AWD subarus.. > I tend to agree with the original post, I would love a RWD Saab.
