You were trying to justify the US share of energy consumption by saying that US is exporting to many countries. I was trying to point out that US is also importing from industrialised countries, the benefit is not a one way traffic. Every country has an export/import balance that is fairly neutral in the long run. No I'm not complaing and has travelled in US on many occasions and have experienced brilliant hospitality and friendliness. The energy/CO2 problem has only been raised because of the increasing rate of severe flooding in many parts of the world, recently Central and Eastern Europe and also US. But there is still some uncertainty about the causes of this, but the frequency of severe events seems to be growing. Johannes
