Your engine is obviously different than my 9-5 Aero's. As I've posted earlier, I see a nearly 2-second lag waiting for the turbo to spin up. Once the boost is fully "on" there is plenty of power, but before then the engine is somewhat anemic. Worse, it is VERY difficult to accelerate smoothly, if you're pushing it at all, because there is such a huge and dramatic jump in power when the turbo kicks in. If I could have a NA engine that produced anywhere near the power of my boosted Aero, I'd take it. Even though I am in Colorado at altitude. The NA's torque and power is much smoother and more consistent. My Aero gets only 22mpg or so in city driving, and I doubt a NA engine would do much worse. >> Don't get me wrong, I thoroughly enjoy driving the Saab turbo. Though, I think the lag in my car (2002 9-5 Aero) is >> less than others on the list have suggested. I cannot "dart" through traffic in my 2002 Aero. I have to hit the gas at least 1.5sec before I need to move, then it's like a slingshot. The dealership hasn't examined the car for this problem yet, but the message I'm getting from them is "that's the way it works." I test-drove another Aero a few weeks ago to compare, and its lag was just about like mine. Gary
