Subject: higher octane is good

hi all, i drive a 1993 saab 9000csi turbo, with 130,000 miles and still a strong running car. but, as much as i hate paying the extra 10 cents for 91 hi-octane here in colorado. i will say, i do notice the stronger response from the motor. also, in colder weather the car seems to start smoother than the lower 85 octane (and yes they use 10% ethanol). i cannot speak for the newer saab as far as perfomance, but i really belive the higher octane is better for it and is not causing any degradation. i do switch from time to time to the cheaper 85 octane (just to confirm what i already know) and everytime i notice the car is slighty sluggish enough to were i am glad to fill up with the higher octane stuff... keep in mind, we are talking bout an older saab as your is too... cheers, hope it help.. 1981 saab 900 1993 saab 9000cs 1993 saab 9000csi turbo Geo <nonopsamom> wrote in message news:OHml9.14186$V64.3727845nopsamfeed.slurp.net... > I have a 93 9000CSET.
