A good J reg might fetch £1100 or thereabouts. A second hand gearbox, including fitting by a garage, would cost maybe £600 - £800. If someone wanted to DIY it, then it would be a good deal - £150 for the car, maybe £200 for the box, and a good weekend's work. But for most, it's just not worth the hassle. Personally, I'd be interested in the car if it was a manual. But I don't like autos. Good luck selling it. -- Grunff
