Your Saab turbo will perform better with higher octane gas. Because it senses knock (which occurs at a higher boost with premium gas), your turbo can boost higher before knock happens with the higher octane gas. If you like the boost you get from premium, and it's worth a dime a gallon to you, use it. The standard gas at 87 or 89 octane won't hurt it, but you will likely find a noticable performance loss.
