Subject: 9000 brake light problem

Hi Saabers, The pictogram shows a failure in the rear lights (has been showing intermittently in the past after damp weather but always came right). The left rear brake light now does not work at all when the brakes are applied, BUT the bulb itself is OK and lights when the headlights are switched to the intermediate position. This looks like something simple that even I could fix if I knew what to do. Any advice appreciated. Also, not sure if this is related but my seat belt warning light has never worked. Again the bulb is OK as I checked it yesterday. It looks like the previous owner had a radar detector mounted on the dash (wires and connector showing beside drivers door) if this is relevant. cheers! BTW my dodgy remote button was fixed by an electronics geek at work, cost me a dozen Steinlagers (20 bucks) instead of the $108 NZ the dealer wanted for a new one. -- Grand Poobah '96 9000 CS 2.3 LPT 155km
