Both power seats in my 97 900 Convt have just died. Since I'm 6'2" and my wife is 5'3" it's a problem. Things I've checked: both fuses, all plugs under the seat. The plug underneath near the front has one wire (blue and red I think) that is live all the time. Also there is a wire that goes live with the heater switch. No other wires show power. The manual says that the seat only work with the ignition on or the door open. This makes me think there must be a circuit that comes live under those two conditions, but I can't find anything like that. No change in any wire when door is open vs. closed. I know there is a relay under the seat somewhere (the passenger side one fell out once) and assume that some circuit has to energize that relay for the seat to work, but this is a guess at this time. I did not check grounds yet, but it would seem strange for both seats to have grounding problems at the same time. I also have not pulled a seat yet- I'm hoping to avoid that chore. My Haynes manual does not have a wiring diagram for the power seats. Does anyone have the power seat wiring diagram? Any help greatly appreciated.
