Don't know about the rev issue, but all cars CAN leak. All cars hold their oil in by mostly the same ways and use a lot of the same type of parts to do it (gaskets and oil seals). That said, neither of my current saabs leak ('92 900 and '95 9k). If it is leaking, I'd have it looked at. My '96 900SE leaked at the joint between the transmission and the engine. It was a leaky snorkel tube and required replacing. This malady also exhibited itself as a stiffer than normal clutch pedal. 8 hours shop time to repair and about a 40.00 part IIRC. Look at the common culprits first, Loose PS hose, front main seal (easy to replace), oil filter not tight, Shift shaft seal, (common, though this would be a weep and probably not ever have a drip on the floor) etc. KeithG christian wrote: > 1996 900 se turbo > When I am driving it hard, the rpm's, sometimes, just stop > accelarating at about 5000---before the red line....why is this?
