Only problem is finding Shell stations. Hmmm ... I've tried Optimax in my 1988,1985 and 1989 C900s - the first couple of tanks were okay, but the turbos just loved going back to Super after that. Spool up was less responsive and top boost was unobtainable until I had a couple of tanks of normal (Texaco, in my case) Super through them after the Optimax. My injection model (1985) is best with unleaded (95 RON) and a shot of Redex every 3000 miles. It just hates Optimax (and Super, for that matter). The moral - it's okay, but not after a few tanks for the classics ... new(er) models? Maybe ... My 1998 Fiat Punto GT (turbo) *&*&*&*loved*&*&*&* Optimax and hated any other Super. My friend's Fiat Coupe (20V turbo) also loved Optimax. Modern engines ... ? Fiats? Ferraris? Cheers, Paul 1985 900i 16V 1989 900 Turbo S http://pjgh.go.dyndns.org/saab/index.html
