How often do you have to replace the oil, and how much do you use? It's really not much of an extra cost compared to the cost of a rebore & decoke or new bearings! My philosophy has always been to use the very best oil I can get, and to change it more often than spec if I am doing short trips. I've had 7 or 8 Saabs over the last 35 years and have never had the head or sump off any one of them, and they all did over 100,000 miles.
