As a side note, there would probably be a problem getting parts and service for a car not normally sold here. I have heard stories about people who have bought their Chrysler cars from Canadian dealerships because they cost about 25% less (after the currency exchange is factored in) than an identical model sold in the US. Chrysler propaganda says that the pricing difference is to make their products more competitive and affordable in Canada. As far as I know, the only difference is Canada's requirement that cars have Daytime Running Lights, which are optional in the US. The problem is that US car dealers that handle warranty repairs say they aren't obliged to honor the warranty for cars sold in Canada (although they often honor the warranty for Canadians vacationing in the US.)
