The 1987 model was the first year with the "expensive" head lights and parking brake on the rear wheels. The previous year used standard 6x7" rectangular headlights and the parking brake was on the front wheels, which made hand brake turns impossible. I ran my 1986 900 for over 200,000 miles and sold it to a teenager, who promptly got into three accidents - the car did its job. I regretted selling the car and bought a 1990 900S. I have many good memories in that 1986 900. It did not have any of the problems you mentioned. Mine had manual crank windows - I really wish I kept that car now. Chaos Returned wrote: > Hey all.
