If you like a nice smooth, quiet ride with all of the electronic gadgets, the 9-3 has it all over the C900 - no question there. The only problem is I can get a comparable Japanese design car with the same features and ride for 1/2 the cost - is the 9-3 worth the money, only you can decide. The C900 has some interesting features which not carried over to the newer generation Saabs. The curved windshield - great for visibility, but shortened the life of the right wiper. The back window was bigger, again great visibility but short on style, by today's standards. The hatchback has no lower lip, probably a weaker design but much easier on my lower back - in fact this is a feature highly advertised available only on the 9-5 wagon, but it was standard in every C900 hatchback. Another feature was the distinct exhaust sound of the C900, a high priced option on later Saabs - but perhaps a distinct exhaust is not stylish or in demand these days. If I hit the lottery big, I would own a silver 9-5 wagon. But I would still own a C900 hatchback - for the winter fun :-)
