For the 9000 of the relevant model years the CS part is the body shape, i.e. CS = the new combi coupe/hatchback shape (not the original CC body shape) and CD is the sedan/saloon model. The base models had CD and CS badges. With more factory equipment the badges became CDE and CSE. The engine type got its own badge. The top of the line was the Aero with Aero badges. All combinations were not available on all markets, but in theory any combination of CD/CS/CDE/CSE and 2.0t/2.3t/3.0 could have been possible.
