My ¥97 9-5 2,0 does the same. I asked the service-people various times about the tickling noise, and they told me not to worry about. I agree - it sounds a bit uncivilized, but my 9-5 runs strong as well, now for more then 45.000 mls. It blames to open the bonnet if there are other people neareby and the engine is running. But it would blame more, when the others knew more about our cars... Bye Wolfgang
