My second Saab (an '84 900i coupe) looked great, but was only used for short trips to the supermarket, it cost me all together a fortune for a replacement engine and gearbox. After that i had no problems for years On the other hand, my first Saab (an '81 model 900 sedan) looked like crap, but was mechanically sound! I had no cost whatsoever with that car, except for some cosmetic work.. So, in short, there are no guarantees in life ;-) -- Zweef
