I looked through body repair shops to help make my decision on which car held up the best in accidents - I bought a Classic Saab. I also saw cars in for repair work after thieves attempted to steal the radios. They hacked the dash apart to remove the "Theft deterrent" radio from a Saab. It would have been more cost effective to have an easily removed radio so you would not have to replace the whole dash as well as the radio.
