I bought a 1999 9-5 which was a lease return - got the SE model (better trim & sound system), and the 2.3L 4-cyl engine. I'm very happy with it - have put on about 16,000 miles since April, and it's behaving beautifully. I never owned a 9000, but it handles very similar to how my '88 900T did (and my earlier Saabs, for that matter). The V6 engine is best avoided...not as reliable, not as good mileage, and I don't know of any aftermarket tuners who will touch it. The timing belts in the V6 are, well, not good. Feel free to email me if you have specific questions you'd like to ask directly, as well. Dave Hinz
