Salutations: Well I agree guys - but I gotta tell ya that when North America vehicles were built right - they rocked.. I've got a front wheel drive '77 Toronado/Eldorado powered motorhome called the GMC 260 that not only really drives like a caddy of the era - but has a flush potty, a shower, a fridge and pretty nice kitchenette... Sleeps six and will cruise all day at 80mph on any four lane blacktop while everybody in the cabin relaxes with drinks and watches the sceney roll by.. It has a 403 Olds motor (the Bandit TransAm engine actually) that'll pull all 9,000 pounds if it up hill and dale all day long at those speeds without a whimper and fire the next morning pretty much no matter what you do to it.. It's 26 feet long but short (about 10 feet) and is streamlined so that it gets 13 miles to the gallon - which is pretty good if you know much about motorhomes.. I'm not defending my southern neighbors or their automotive manufacturing practices - but when they got something right - it's usually a DREAM to roll around in.. Check out the machine if you're interested - I host an illustrated parts manual for my owners group.. here: http://www.dexterdyne.com/102.HTM J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ All tunes no cookies no ads no news no weather no phone in All the Time..
