As an aside, I actually thought the must-leave-in-reverse-to-remove-key trick Saab pull, regardless of any other so-called safety benefits, was an *excellent* means of forcing you to leave the car in gear for manual transmissions. I mean, it's a habit I've always had anyway (although normally 1st gear for no particular reason), but there do seem to be a LOT of cars out there using either the handbrake (aka "emergency brake" for the left-pondians amongst the audience) or the transmissions but never both. Belt and braces, don't you know? That's a valuable piece of equipment out there and I don't want it running away from me... -- Matthew Exley henleynopsamed-naafi.org Backups?
