Subject: Re: Brake Caliper Causing Pull?

Salutations: First - Midas (or lowdow bold faced lying, thieving bags of incorporated s**t as we like to call them) only want to sell you the caliper because they happen to have one for sale.. They burned me once back in the 80's when I was too young to know better wherein I apparently needed a complete new set of rotors (1.3x dealer value at the time). The fact the master cylinder was faulty had nothing whatever to do with needing new rotors - but like I said - I didn't know much then and they didn't have a master cylinder to sell.. 3 days later Midas, of course, were not willing to return my money when I returned with rotors (the old ones, which were still fine after all, went back in when I did fix the master cylinder).. Anyway - I digress.. Find a mechanic you actually can trust and have him look over the anti-lock system and follow the advise from Grunff below.. Sometimes the older antilock system will cause a cylinder to pressurize slightly when there is crap in the valves.. Which is my piece of advise - also check the brake fluid to see if it needs attention after you get the caliper moving again (if in fact the caliper has anything to do with the problem in the first place - which it may not given it was Midas).. Find a Speedy Muffler for exhaust work if you have one near you - they are GREAT and honor their warrantees.. Man that felt good - 19 years I've been waiting to report that rip off! If you know someone who needs a little christmas cheer - feel free to pass the main site link around..
