Tha's just plain bullocks! The platform is developed by each company to fullfill specific needs. In Saabs case, this means that the platform is made safer than the one of the Vectra. Suspension: Waaaay different. Completely different setup and parts! About engine: The ONLY comparable item of the engines is the block (Vectra 2.2 vs. Saab 2.0). Saab uses their own complete 16-valve head. They have different bearings, enginemanagement a.s.o. No, two COMPLETELY different cars with window/mirror adjustment buttons in common.... Cheers!
