I think it mostly comes down to maintenance. SAABS are drivers cars and their owners tend to take better care of them and keep up on what needs to be done. I had a Daewoo Leganza for four years as a daily driver, and kept up with the maintenance as faithfully as I do with my SAAB. When I got rid of the car it had just under 100,000 miles on it and had never had any problems. In my opinion, your typical Chevy Caviler owner won't be as inclined to keep up with things like oil changes as faithfully as the typical SAAB owner. Just a thought.
