The Alero is sold as a Chevrolet product in Holland? Very interesting. In the US, the Alero is part of the soon to be defunct Oldsmobile division and is a direct competitor to the Chevrolet Malibu (and Pontiac Grand Am). Maybe this was done because the Alero is available with a stick shift (but only with the 4cyl. engine) and the Malibu is only available with an automatic transmission (and 6 cyl. engine IIRC). What engine/transmissions are offered on the Alero when sold in Holland? Does anyone buy them? I came back from Germany last week and while I was there, I only saw 1 US "car", a Chrysler Voyager. BTW, while I was there, I drove a new Opel Vectra 2.2 rental car. My impression was that it had a lot of wonderful (useless and annoying) technology on it, but generally was a piece of junk that was likely to break down any minute. Is that generally how Opel cars are, or did I get a bad sample? Walt Kienzle "Mark Gerritsma" <magernopsam.nld> wrote in message news:atnv6a$pq5$1nopsam1.tilbu1.nb.home.nl...
