When the weather turned cold, my car began flooding when I tried to start it. (Living in NM, it doesn't get too cold, though.) If it started on the first try, no problem. However, if it didn't, it would flood. It took some investigating but I traced the problem to the cold start injector (or perhaps the sensor that accuates it). For instance, there was a pretty good accumulation of gasoline in the intake. I simply unhooked the wire harness from the injector, thus disabling it. The car takes a few more seconds to start on a cold day than it did last winter but, other than that, no problems. Any reason not to do this? -- Christian '85 900 8V (160K)
