Rob, In addition to John's reply , please find below (between ********** lines) another view on towing with a Saab 9.5, this was a snippet of discussion that took place +/- 1/2 year ago in this forum. For European standards the Saab 9.5 is considered to have excellent towing capabilities, partly due to the high torque at low rev's. I agree that on slippery surfaces a 4WD would be better and also a higher weight of the car compared to the trailer would be beneficial, then indeed the US road tanks may be better (or consider a Tractor!!)
