Just a thought: I once equipped my former '84 900 with non-SAAB alu wheels (7‡x15). They were apparently somewhat too wide (though they caused a gocart-like handling ;), as they ultimately turned out to be the reason for an occasional grinding noise on turns, but only with the car loaded with 3 adults or more (or the equivalent). The root cause was the type of rear suspension (shifting the axle slightly to one side under load) in combination with oversized wheels. Had to fit 8mm spacers.... Just my 2 cents Per Laursen ex '84 900 (still miss the trunk :) '95 9000 2.3 CSE (a lot more fun!)
