Subject: Re: CHECK ENGINE light on

hello, recently the CHECK ENGINE light has come on on my '94 9000cs (78,000 miles) on the clock. The car is driving fine and i recently had a worn drive belt pulley and drive belt replaced .on the advice of the dealer i replaced both guide pulleys as i am intending to hold onto the car for a while.the two pulleys and the belt cost 150euros and the labour was 100euros plus 12% tax. ihave had the car three yrs and bought it privately with 44,000miles on the clock and a full saab service history. the car has given me no trouble except a burst pipe taking clutch fluid to the clutch and secondly a replacement ignition cassette (got stiffed by the dealer 300euros for the casette and 200labour for a simple replacement job). i am just going to ignore the check engine sign as long as the car is driving ok peter c MJK wrote in message ... >Similar thing happend to my wife in her 97 900SE.
