Subject: Re: Directional tires - better braking if put on backwards?

As someone else has said, the directional tire" throws" the water out of the tread and/or out from under the tread lest you hydroplane. What affects braking is the coefficient of friction between that particular tire compound and that particular road surface. NOTE this is rolling friction if the tire is shedding the water if not it is sliing with water as a lubricarnt . The coefficient is practically ZERO. This will occur if the directional tire is installed backwards.
