Everything I hear is > either a laundry list of "Saab (sob) stories", or "I've put 200,000 on it and I'm > ready to put another 200,000 on it". There seems to be little in between! I'm in between. I have spent a lot of money maintaining my Saabs, and I have also taken them to high points on the odometer. I sold my 1986 900T at 200,000 miles, and it was going well. My ex-wife still has the 1987 9000S I used to own, and it's probably well over 230,000 miles. The engine is weak, but the car looks pretty good. I now have a 1995 9000CS with 132,000 miles or so and plan to take it to at least 180,000 miles in the next two years. Maybe Saabs last a long time because we are willing to put the money into them. I can't speak about styling, because that's a matter of your taste. I can tell you that Saabs are a unique combination of comfort, performance, safety, and utility. The seats are awesome. You'll be getting a sedan, so I can't tell you how much I love having a hatchback. -- Tom Reingold Noo Joizy
