Andy: I do not own an 9000 but a 95 '2000 model. Just for kicks some of the things are similar. I had my 40 K service done and I was told that my brakes had gone bad and also my rotors need replacement. It looks like the newer SAAB's have softer rotor's and brake pads. I dont by any means brake often. Also I have a stick shift and tend to shift gears and brake. But my rotor's had to be replaced in 40K miles without machined as the SAAB Dealer did not offer it as a choice but instead told me that I 'd be better off as the rotor's are thinning and in an year I will have to come back for the rotor's. Now the car is less 3 years old and I have about 40 k miles( had 10 k when I bought it).
