The main reason why the british people didn't adopt the euro was because we weren't asked. Many want it, many oppose it, but Our government didn't ask us, it just said, "No, not yet, we will tell you when". It was bad when everything was run by the government, but since privatisation, not only has it been run down, they have looked to cut corners too.
