I once pulled a nail out of one of my Sonett's tires ('soccerball') and it went flat in about 30 sec. so I had to put on the spare. If I had left the nail in I could have driven to a garage. There they have the special tools to put a rubber plug in the tire. Tubeless tires sometimes leak not through the valve but between the valve and the rim or the tire and the rim, specially when the rim is older and gets corroded at the contact surfaces. If your car has inner tubes and you would want to patch a leak you would need special tools to get the outer tire off the rim, tho I have seen people take the tire off by putting the wheel flat on the ground and driving over it along the edge of the rim with another car. Anyway, a lot of hassle if you DIY... not worth it I think. ------------------------------------------- MH '72 97 '77 96 '78 95 '79 96 http://go.to/saab96
