Car fan from way back but new to Saabs and have chance to buy an '89 Turbo 3-D 16V (w/only 64,000k) that's been sitting outside for 2 yrs. Has most of the 'goodies', it seems, w/ leather seats, elec. sunroof, cruise control, AC, 5-spd... Was able to get it started no problem but moisture inside w/ mold on seats, around leak in sunroof, etc., has me concerned. no problem w/ detailing (should be able to restore to good condition w/o scars from period of inattention). looking for thoughts that you 'Saab-saavy' may have on the wisdom of getting involved with this car. I'm up for a well-built, fun to drive car, but not a series of nit-picky-or otherwise-problems that will detract from any gains of low mileage, etc. Adventurous but not seeking 'lemon' aggravations... Also have to install new battery. Any fav's/tips? Thanks. You auto-enthusiasm is appreciated.
