Subject: 88 9000T clutch pedal specs

I've been driving my 9000T for a while now, but it seems that I have to press the clutch further and further in order to get a clean shift. I've checked the manual but the specs aren't in there, so what are the specs for the pedal distances/active ranges, and could this be a sign of some necessary clutch work? I get a grind every now and then switching into rev/1st, but not always. Looking at the time for a clutch job post I'm hoping I won't have to do the PITA clutch work! any insight is appreciated sean
