I agree that it may be a problem with the connection to earth/ground. I sometimes get a warning that flashes along with the turn signal. When I step on the brake (usually just a few seconds later), the warning stops. Of course it could also be weak contacts in one of the bulb sockets that make better contact as the circuit heats up from use.
