Salutations: I have come across a mid-90's 9000 (I think GSE) 9000 4 door hatch.. It has 2.3 DI engine and the body/paint seems to be in good shape.. The owner dropped in a rebuilt engine a while ago - but then ran it with a broken transmission line and squeaked the auto transmission completely - then had it pulled on a wrecker and broke the turbo header and I think damaged the engine manifold/turbo facings.. I have an 1989 9000 CD with a perfect auto transmission as well as a fairly nice 2.0 engine on fresh mounts.. I am wondering what it might cost to fix up the his - or - could I drop the whole power/tranny/ignition controller units in from my 1989? What is his worth on the market as it stands now? Would the 1989 auto tranny bolt on?
