I bet the Saab has more room than the BMW 3 series. I drove a 325i wagon, not a sedan, but the wagon. My 8 year old son barely had enough legroom in the back seat. My Classic 900 was down right spacious compared to the BMW wagon. As for reliability, try comparing a Classic 900, not a 2002 GM Saab to a BMW. I have some friends who drive BMWs and they are perfectly happy with the handling and reliability, but they regularly replace broken suspension components, rebuild transmissions, and are thrilled to get 10,000 miles per tire at $400 a tire - and they mount and balance the tire themselves. I guess they wanted a car they could work on - hopefully the components aren't broken and they only want an excuse to modify the car.
