You particularly might get a kick out of it.. Yes, I had read it, and was much amused. I came to Saabs as a broke student; I needed a car that's simple, reliable, safe, easy to work on, and most importantly, cheap. This came in the form of a 1983 900 twin carb (£300). Great car. Cost me very little over the time I kept it. I think the key with cars like Saabs is taking the time to understand how the car works, even if the owner doesn't want to do the work themselves (I personally love that part - nothing better than working on an engine on a hot day with a beer in one hand, especially after a week in front of a PC). -- Grunff
