I've been researching the same thing for my '00 9-3. Get yourself over to www.saabnet.com and find the 9-3 bulletin board. Then do a search on audio, speakers, etc. In order to maintain functionality with the steering wheel audio controls, you're going to need an OEM Saab unit. Getting an FM airwaves changer is an option, but you lose the integration w/ the steering wheel and end up with an ugly faceplate to hide and FM quality reception. To prevent theft, Saab stereo components have to be properly married/divorced by a dealer using a special diagnostic tool so that the electronics are recognized. If you don't have this done, they won't work. I will likely buy mine from http://www.genuinesaab.com/search_results.asp?txtsearchParamTxt=CD&txtsearchParamCat=ALL&txtsearchParamType=ALL&iLevel=1&txtsearchParamMan=ALL&txtsearchParamVen=ALL&txtFromSearch=fromSearch&btnSearch.x=8&btnSearch.y=10 It's the best price I've found so far. Sorry for the messy link, it's the Saab CD Changer with the required mounting bracket. When I posted a question about the changer on saabnet.com, I was given instructions on how to install it myself. Very simple, all I have to then do is take it to the dealer for proper marrying and I'm done and saved quite a bit of install labor in the process. HTH, Greg H.
