If you mean me, please retract that statement as a courtesy to others here. I'm just a hack :-) There are others with a lot more knowledge than me. >I have a 2001 9-5 SE wagon with 30,000 miles. What else could cause this? In the USA, the cat is warranted via Federal Law for at least 50K. Of course, since Saab also warrants the car for 50K, there's probably not much of an issue. Try different fuels first. If you are smelling it more in the car, its possible you have an exhaust leak. That's not usual in a young Saab like yours. It could be that the cold weather is just keeping the vapors down a bit and you're smelling it more. >Elwood Really ? "I'm getting the band back together". Bob
