We have our moments, but yeah, it's a pretty helpful group. I wouldn't be alarmed at all about lack of comments on the new 9-3. I checked it out, I'll probably buy one when the 9-5 is ready to be retired, but that's a few hundred thousand miles from now, so I'm not making any immediate plans. My parents will most likely buy a new 9-3 for their next car. >> There are no crash-test ratings on any of the North >>American sites, only on the euro ones. > I can't comment on those specifics... perhaps they have not rated > the car yet since it is very new. Very, very safe cars. I would submit that the European crash tests are at least as valid and relevant as the US ones. I agree with Bob that Saab's long tradition of building safe vehicles isn't likely to change any time soon. >>And no-one in this group is talking >>about the car. The engine is a lotus block that has been Saab-ised (or Saab-ized, depending on where you live), so I would expect no issues there. The styling looks like a 9-5 to me, and I don't think that's bad (I own a 9-5 so I admit a bias). Notably absent has been objection to GM tampering with the Saab design philosophy, which I think says alot. If they had blown it, we'd be talking a *lot* about that right about now, I assure you. > If you have any specific questions, please ask.
