That, or there's something seriously wrong with his > locking mechanism. I don't know there brother Dave.. He's got a pretty good system going as it is.. He's good with the guys who know and I'll bet the little creeps that rip off the car get a fairly sound (but not fatally so) bashing just to make sure everyone is clear that same oversight doesn't happen again.. Me - I never lock the doors overnight as the glass is more valuable than anything I leave in the car and while I'm no bad guy - I know several I've run into over the years here at one community event or the other in my small town.. I'm sure that if I needed to find my car I could at least put a feeler out.. It's the damned pro-am criminals everyone has to worry about.. For example - I had a $5 (retail) Canadian Tire AM radio crowbared out of a $500 dash in a hotel parking lot one time.. I'm just glad I didn't lock the windows personally - would have added several hundred to the bill.. Naw - I leave enough small change under the parking break that it would be just enough to make it hard to handle and steer (and to pick up a cheap pint) so it is worthwhile for the pro-am to move on.. Kind of a weird version of leaving cookies out for Santa.. Works so far - only lost the stash a couple of times in the last decade without any further damage than feeling the need to wash out the interior.. I usually lock it up without any change in it for a while just in case anyone returns to the 'scene of the crime' - for seconds.. -- J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ all tunes - no cookies no subscription no weather no ads no news no phone in - RealAudio 8+ Required - all the Time Radio Free Dexterdyne Top Tune o'be-do-da-day Sinatra Martin Davis - Ain't That A Kick in the Head http://www.dexterdyne.org/888/036.RAM
