Hell - just weld a sleeve around the spring and be done with it.. Not for me brother - my take is first - check to see about how your hangers are working for you - most muffler replacement shops used longer ones that are necessary for the job and the pipe hangs low.. you should not be able to see above it looking across under the car.. It should not be so close you can't get a hand around it.. After that - I've been using larger tire diameters myself to allow for the crumbling state of the roads come spring around here.. It's most everyone's real argument for the SUV BTW - if the frame will take it into the wilds of northern Canada - it might just get me to work through town here without tearing off your pans.. Not so - but it's the thinking.. Anyway - first confirm if you need shocks/struts or if the springs are bad (one heavy trunk and the right pot hole can compress it after a while).. Once that's over with and you give up because the struts will blow your summer vacation money if so equipped - slip on some bigger tires - there is a pile of extra room. You might rub a little bit for a while on the steering lock - but don't sweat it - it's nothing too serious.. Much less so than pounding your muffler.. -- J Dexter - webmaster - http://www.dexterdyne.org/ all tunes - no cookies no subscription no weather no ads no news no phone in - RealAudio 8+ Required - all the Time Radio Free Dexterdyne Top Tune o'be-do-da-day The Cadillacs - Speedo http://www.dexterdyne.org/888/165.RAM
