Select the MPG display and see how low the figures are! This is due to the fact that the engine has to run rich while warming up. After 10 minutes, reset the SID and you will see a dramatic improvement in the numbers. One thing I like about my wife's Audi is that the trip computer has an "instantaneous mpg" setting, so you don't have to reset the computer to get the current fuel usage rate. Many cold starts and short trips just wreck your fuel economy. There is nothing you can do about it either, except perhaps take the bus....
