Well, my current '02 9-3 2,0lpt now and then (once in about 20 times) starts 'without audio related display (RDS etc.) and the buttons on the steering wheel not working at all and the lights of the radio related buttons off' When I restart the engine or manually switch on/off the radio a couple of times it starts working again properly. Also when I drive over a bumpy road sometimes a rather loud 'poc' sound comes from the speakers. It all started after I had my cellphone built in (by the dealer) To me it looks like some kind of connection not making good contact. So far however the dealer has not been able to locate it.... It doesn't look like a really serious problem but I always keep in mind my second car, a Renault 5, that burnt out because of some kind of electrical problem that occured in the dashboard behind the heaterfan. It's almost 20 years ago but I still see the dashboard collapsing in my mind; smoke coming out of all ventilation openings and the insulation of literally all the wiring bubbling around the copper cores... So there seems to be a difference between 'electrical' and 'electronical' problems as well.
