It doesn't work with the ususal European dual-band phones, but with a tri-band phone that should be posible. Most European phones are dual-band 900/1800 MHz. For some reason in the US they use 1900 MHz, I guess because the European frequencies were already in use. I believe Motorola offers several tri-band models. And of course you need a provider with a roaming agreement with a provider in the country you're going to visit. Mark
